Article:
The Wise Fool
It is the fool that "knows" they are wise; but it is the wisest who knows they are a fool.
There are true perceptions.
There are false perceptions.
There are true perceptions that seem false.
There are false perceptions that seem true.
Think of Neo in the movie Matrix for the metaphor here. Stripping away illusions is next to impossible when he didn't know the rules in the beginning. Once he gained knowledge of the governing principles (reality) dodging the bullets (illusions) became effortless. But first he had to unlearn what he had been taught (aka: how he'd been conditioned). He also had to first be willing to unlearn.
It is our willingness that allows us to be the wise fool and not the foolish fool. In our stubbornness we slip into the self deception of the foolish fool.
To remain a wise fool is to dodge the bullets effortlessly. Even when we do have true knowledge (wisdom and its application) it is best to be willing to question our "knowledge" for validity at any given time. Truth comes out in the wash. Keep washing.
Different times, different things in a world of relativity. Although we are in a world of relativity we are actually of non-relative connectivity. This means form can be deceiving or valid (which could be why truth must be sought and isn't always apparent), but principle (I often refer to principles as 'playing by God's rules') is always reliably valid whether we are aware of it or ignorant of it. Therefore, becoming like the wise fool (unlearning our conditioning) is what ultimately leads us to new levels of possibility on a global scale as well as being centric to our individual levels of success.
